"Our mission has empowered countless individuals to successfully reintegrate into society. During their time at our transitional homes, residents have the opportunity to focus on stabilizing themselves spiritually, physically, financially, and emotionally, creating a strong foundation for their future."
– C.A.P.T. Rick
Rickey Beechem, a native of Torrance, California, and raised in Compton, is a dedicated community leader and advocate. A proud graduate of Compton High School, he began his journey of service in the United States Air Force, where he served in Special Forces from 1977 to 1983. His military career instilled in him a profound sense of discipline, commitment, and a passion for helping others.
After his honorable discharge, Rickey earned two Associate of Arts degrees from El Camino College, one in Administration of Justice and another in Paralegal Studies. Leveraging his expertise, he founded a successful independent paralegal firm, providing legal support for over 20 years.
Driven by a deep concern for the growing homelessness crisis in Los Angeles, Captain Rickey turned his focus to community service. Inspired by his volunteer work with "Stay Free Ministries," he established Captain Rickey's New Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to overcome adversity and rebuild their lives, addressing critical issues such as addiction, mental health, and transitional housing.
Today, Captain Rickey continues to lead with compassion and determination, creating sustainable solutions for underserved communities through his foundation. His unwavering commitment serves as a beacon of hope for those seeking a fresh start.
At Captain Rickey's New Life Foundation, Together We Can embodies our belief in the power of community and compassion. By joining forces with residents, staff, volunteers, and partners, we create life-changing opportunities, restore dignity, and empower individuals to rebuild their lives. Through collaboration and shared purpose, we inspire positive change and transform lives every day.
Our vision is to create a community where individuals can achieve lasting transformation, empowering them to rebuild their lives spiritually, physically, financially, and emotionally. We envision a future where every person we serve successfully reintegrates into society, equipped with the stability, support, and resources needed to thrive.
We are dedicated to making a meaningful and lasting impact on our community by providing outreach, support, and access to essential resources and services for individuals in need. Our mission is to connect those facing challenges with the tools and opportunities necessary to improve their lives and achieve stability.
Our transitional housing facilities are dedicated to supporting men and women who have recently faced homelessness, completed residential treatment programs, or been released from incarceration. We provide a safe and stable environment to help individuals rebuild their lives, offering the resources and guidance they need for a fresh start.
